A panel of regional experts will discuss the importance of protecting our local water.  The presentations will describe the unique geology of Cortland County and how its sole source aquifer makes it imperative to protect our waters; how local wildlife maintain healthy and clean streams; and what we can do to ensure that our source of water is not contaminated.

Speakers:

  • Pat Reidy, Water Quality Specialist, Cortland County Soil and Water Conservation District
  • Doug Withey, CEO, H20 Water Operator Training Group and Cortlandville Town Board
  • Larry Klotz, retired SUNY professor of biological sciences
  • Pam Jenkins, environmental advocate

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item to benefit local food pantries.
